Combination boilers heat the flow of water on-demand, unlike other boilers which constantly use energy to keep a reservoir of water hot. This makes them very efficient for occasional use, as they hardly use any energy unless a hot water tap is turned on.
However, because combination boilers do not maintain a tank of hot water, their output is limited. This may mean that water pressure drops when multiple taps are on at the same time.
If your home does not regularly use multiple appliances at once, like the shower and washing machine, a combination boiler may be your perfect heating system.
